FIRESTORM IN THE NEWS

For U.S. soldiers who find themselves at the front lines of a future conflict, it’s fast becoming gospel, due to the way warfare is rapidly evolving on the battlefields of Ukraine, that drones will be crucial to winning (or losing) the fight
The company's new funding round, led by Lockheed Martin Ventures, will support its rapid drone production capabilities.

Firestorm will use this new capital to further scale out its workforce and production resources, the company said Thursday.

Firestorm has already won a range of the U.S Department of Defense contracts both for its modular UAS and the xCell manufacturing product line. This new capital will enable Firestorm to scale its team and production to meet growing demands for its products.

The U.S. Airforce’s use of xCell will revolutionize DoD’s reliance on traditional manufacturing processes that disable the real time production and replenishment of capabilities critical to detering adversaries.

The whole idea is for the drone to operate like an iPhone, basically building a platform around additive manufacturing
